Project/Object On Tour in May 2013 !!!

PROJECT/OBJECT ..TOURDATES -- May 2013 with Ike Willis, Ray White, Ed Mann, Tom Fowler & Denny Walley!

Fellow Zappa Fans and Music heads...Project/Object is back, and about to hit the road in the Northeast USA, and central Europe, this time with the most unique lineup alumni in P/O's history!

Performing over the years with at over a dozen of Zappa's most popular band members, coast to coast in the USA and a half-dozen European nations, Project/Object is beloved by fans everywhere. In every new market they visit, Project/Object pleases the Zappa connoisseurs and converts the curious into dedicated fans.

Entering their third decade of performing the Music Of Frank Zappa, Project/Object continues to lead the way in taking Zappa’s actual band members on tour, featuring musicians from almost every single Mothers and Zappa album. Project/Object is proudly an integral part of the explosive growth in popularity of Zappa music in recent years, along with a number of other fine "Zappa Music" acts.

In that spirit, this tour brings together four of Zappa’s most popular and beloved bandmates. Touring with Project/Object for the first time in a number of years is Zappa’s longest running band member, percussionist Ed Mann, who appeared on virtually every Zappa album and tour from 1977 to 1988. Denny Walley, who has sat in with the band many times over the past decade in and around his hometown of Atlanta, joins the band for an extended tour for the first time.

Well known for his tours with Captain Beefheart, Denny appears on the long awaited CB classic Bat Chain Puller. Denny also now tours with THE MAGIC BAND, made up of fellow Capt. Beefheart alums.

Joining the band for the first time is the legendary Zappa/Mothers bassist on the classic early 70s albums, Tom Fowler. Handling lead vocals once again are Ike Willis and Ray White, who toured and recorded with Zappa from 1976 and 1988.

Project/Object’s ongoing collaborations with Willis, White, Mann, Walley and now Fowler are a testament to the popularity of these musicians with the fans. The band will be performing Zappa classics from all eras as well as tracks most associated with each of the four alumni.

This lineup of Zappa's ex-band members all bring their virtuosic creativity and deep history to the stage. Between them they have played on Zappa’s most popular and iconic releases, like Zappa In New York, Tinseltown Rebellion, Bongo Fury, Sheik Yerbouti, Apostrophe, Joe’s Garage, Roxy and Elsewhere, One Size Fits All, Over-Nite Sensation, You Are What You Is and Baby Snakes.

With the alumni on board, Project/Object brings the authenticity that few “tribute” acts can claim, and will continue to bring Zappa music…and Zappa band members….directly to the fans!!

This tour also features now veteran members Kendall Scott on keys/synths, Ryan Berg on drums, and the band's founder Andre´ Cholmondeley on guitar and vocals.
